Our Total Dry container desiccant bags are specifically designed for use with containerized cargo. Based on calcium chloride being the “active” ingredient, we are able to completely prevent the phenomenon of condensation and thereby stop the growth of mold & fungus.
We create an environment within the enclosed container for the safe transport of goods such as Cocoa, Coffee, Cereal, Flour, etc. Protection is also afforded to other goods which normally suffer adverse effects from moisture formation. Some examples are palletized cargo, product labels on cans and bottles, ferrous and nonferrous metal oxidization, etc.
Each 2kg bag is fitted with an individual hook which is designed to hang upon the “lashing eyes” within the container. With a maximum safe absorption capacity of 140%, each bag can hold up to 2.8 liters of water! Medical grade Tyvek combined with ultrasonic welding and the mixture of ingredients within the “double bag” construction, completely averts any possibility of leakage.
Once these bags are activated, they remain in operation for up to 90 days.
